The ICT Department offers ICT training to provide innovative lifelong opportunities. The department aims to help students develop the necessary skills to exploit ICT, to become autonomous users of ICT and to be ICT professionals who meet the demands of local and global markets.

Information Communication Technology (ICT) encompasses the fields of data / information processing, transmission and communications by means of computer and telecommunication techniques. ICT tools are increasingly used for organizational/personal information processing in all sectors of economy and society.

The ICT Department has taken the responsibility of influencing the students to perform well in their studies and become responsible members of society.

The department has five regular courses namely:

1. Diploma in Information communication Technology (DICT)
2. Certificate in Information Communication Technology (CICT)
3. ICT technician level 6
4. ICT Technician level 5
5. Computer Science level 6

Three-part time course namely:

1. International Certification in Digital Literacy. (ICDL)
2. Computing (in python)
3. Data Analytics

and two evening courses

1. ICT Technician level 6
2. Computer Science level 6

The Diploma Course is divided into 3 modules. One receives a Diploma in Information communication Technology.
on completion of all the 3 modules. The Certificate Course is divided into 2 modules. The students graduate with a certificate in Information Communication Technology after the completion of the 2 modules. Those who successfully complete the Certificate Course may join the Diploma course in module 2. The ICT Technician level 6 is covered in in 18 months. In addition, the student undergoes an industrial attachment for three months. The computer science level 6 is covered in in 18 months. In addition, the student undergoes an industrial attachment for three months. The ICT Technician level 5 is covered in 12 months. In addition, the student undergoes an industrial attachment for three months.
These courses provide students with a basis for further progression to the Universities. Students who attain credit passes at Diploma level are eligible to join Universities at Second Year Level.

The Department has 7 laboratories equipped with modern computerssmart boards and a workshop.

The Department encourages students to join ICT in NTTI at the department because there are: -
